Snagr alternative

A Snagr alternative for site teams that snag more than one home

Snagr is a UK snagging app with a free tier and a per-list upgrade, which makes it good value when you are snagging one new build. When a site team snags plot after plot, the list has to be shared between several people and per-list pricing is paid again for every new list. PunchList Business is priced per person instead: shared snag lists on everyone's phone, offline on site and branded PDF reports, with a 30-day trial for up to five people.

Quick answer

What is a good Snagr alternative for a snagging team?

If several people snag the same sites, PunchList Business is an alternative priced per person rather than per list: shared snag lists across separate phones, offline capture that syncs when back in signal, branded PDF reports, and US$15 per user a month billed annually. For snagging a single home Snagr costs less, and its Premium upgrade adds floor-plan pinning and a web dashboard.

What Snagr does well

Snagr is built for snagging homes, and for a single property it is hard to beat on price. Its strengths:

  • A free tier with unlimited snags, HD photos, video capture and offline use.
  • Low per-list upgrades: Basic is £2.99 per list (share via a unique link, export to a spreadsheet) and Premium is £19.99 per list.
  • Floor-plan pinning and a web dashboard on Premium. PunchList has neither: each snag carries a written location, and there is no web dashboard.
  • PDF and Excel reports, on iPhone, iPad and Android.
  • It serves homeowners and landlords as well as house builders, for whom it tracks issues across every plot and development from a single view.

Where PunchList Business fits better

PunchList Business is for firms that snag as a team, week in, week out, and hand the results to clients and subcontractors.

Priced per person, not per list

US$15 per user a month billed annually, or US$19 monthly, however many sites, plots and lists the team works through, with volume discounts from 10 seats. For one home a per-list upgrade costs less; for a site team snagging a whole development, a per-person price is easier to budget.

Everyone on the same lists

Each person signs in with a work email and a one-time code on their own iPhone, iPad or Android phone and sees the firm's team projects. Owners and admins manage members, seats and projects; members log, assign and close out snags.

Built for no signal

Every phone keeps a full local copy, so the team keeps snagging in basements, risers and unfinished plots. Changes sync to everyone else when the phone is back in signal, photos included.

Reports on your letterhead

PDFs carry your logo, contact block and accent colour and never a watermark, in a detailed layout with a page per snag or a compact table for long lists. Photos export as a ZIP of plain JPEGs.

For mixed-language site teams

The app is localised in 39 languages and regional variants, including Polish, Romanian and Portuguese, with construction vocabulary, so each person can snag in their own language.

Invoices your accounts team can file

Pay through Stripe's checkout; invoices show your company name, address and VAT number, and purchase-order invoicing is available from 25 seats.

Looking for SnagR, the enterprise system?

Two products share the name. SnagR, from SnagR Software Ltd, is the snagging and defect system that has been around since 2007; it is a different company from Snagr above.

SnagR is now RDrive

SnagR's website now redirects to RDrive, which describes itself as the evolution of SnagR and a field digitalisation platform: field capture online or offline, progress monitoring, analytics, BIM, a project archive and integrations. It does not publish prices; you book a demo.

Where PunchList Business fits instead

If you need BIM, progress monitoring or integrations with your other systems, a platform such as RDrive is the right category. If you need a site team to snag, assign and report from their phones at a price shown on the website, PunchList Business is the simpler option.

How to start

How to try it with your site team

No call and no card: the trial starts in the app and the subscription on the website.

1

Create the team

Install Punch List on iPhone, iPad or Android, open Settings › Team, sign in with your work email and name the team. The 30-day trial for up to five people starts straight away.

2

Snag one plot together

Share the invite code and log the next walkround as a team, with photos and the responsible trade on every snag. Everything syncs when you are back in signal.

3

Send the report, then decide

Generate the PDF in the detailed or compact layout and send it to the client or the trades. If it works for you, subscribe on the PunchList Business page; if not, nothing is charged and nothing is deleted.

Frequently asked questions

How does the pricing compare with Snagr?

On 7 October 2026, getsnagr.com listed Snagr as free to start, then £2.99 per list for Basic and £19.99 per list for Premium. PunchList Business is US$15 per user a month billed annually or US$19 monthly, however many lists the team works through, with volume discounts from 10 seats.

Can PunchList pin snags on a floor plan?

No. PunchList has no floor plans or drawings; each snag carries a written location, photos, an owner and a status. If pinning snags on a floor plan matters to you, Snagr Premium offers it.

Does it work without signal on site?

Yes. Every phone keeps a full local copy, so you can snag with no connection. Changes sync to the rest of the team when the phone is back in signal, photos included.

Can I try it before the team pays?

Yes. Creating a team in the app starts a 30-day free trial for up to five people, with no card, and it never turns into a paid plan by itself. You can also use the app on your own for free; PDF reports carry a watermark until you subscribe.

Is SnagR the same as Snagr?

No. SnagR, from SnagR Software Ltd, is an enterprise defect and inspection system whose website now redirects to RDrive. Snagr (getsnagr.com) is a separate snagging app for iPhone, iPad and Android. This page compares PunchList Business with both.
